Joe’s Workspace — Index

Read this first. One line per note, grouped by what it’s for. If you’re an agent starting a session, this is the map; Knowledge Graph — How It Works explains how the linking works and AGENTS.md — Joe’s Workspace sets the conventions.

  • Workspace map — how the whole estate fits together, and where new things go

Areas

Eight browsing areas, each with its own entrance. The workspace map explains how they fit together.

Trackers

Forward-looking task state. Rows are deleted when done, never ticked.

  • General To-Do Tracker - the main task list, scored priorities, Monday kickoff
  • Life Admin Tracker - admin pipeline: AESA refusal (review decision expected ~1 Nov) plus DEHú document request (response deadline unknown), Rail Ombudsman R175958 (closed), Employment Tribunal 6003560/2026, FOS S75, kidney donation
  • Cross-Tracker Intelligence Rules - the trigger rules the daily/weekly scripts apply across trackers; the case-portal rules are implemented in daily-tick.py as case_portal_rules()
  • Tracker Standard - the normative contract for every tracker and register: headings, one table per section, status vocabulary, date and money formats, ownership; tracker-schema.json is its machine-readable form
  • Annual Checklist - life-cycle tasks by month
  • Renewals Tracker - fixed billing periods and renewal dates; watchdog checks weekly

Registers

Standing records of things that exist, rather than things to do.

Money

Second brain

Health & body

Therapy

  • [Therapy Index](therapy/Therapy Index.md) - catalog for the therapy notes; start there

Logs & retrospectives

Reference

Logs of record (append-only)

Raw source layers. Orphans here are expected — they’re linked from their index, not from each other.

  • memory/ — dated journal notes, May 2026 onwards
  • diary/ — the agent’s private notes
  • therapy/Sessions.md — dated therapy session notes

System & ops

  • Joe’s System Map - how the machines, assistant, home automation, applications, storage and backups connect, with live container, cron and tunnel inventories

  • System facts - operational facts held outside the injected MEMORY.md layer: model routing, backup paths and cadences, authorities and estate quirks; migrated verbatim 5 Nov 2026 and appended to whenever the freeform layer changes

  • Skill Overhaul — Close-Out (30 Oct 2026) - what the 29–30 Oct skill overhaul closed, what is only structurally verified, and what stays open; the audit evidence tree now lives outside the workspace

  • Audit Report — 28 Oct 2026 - verified state, changes made and prioritized actions

  • RESTORE.md — Disaster Recovery Runbook (Joe’s stack) - disaster recovery runbook: if this host or the HA Pi dies, start here

  • Runbook — joe-host thin-pool fix - the one-offline-window procedure that fsck’d both filesystems, right-sized disk-1 to 280G and enabled discard

  • Hands-on runbook — 16 Oct 2026 - the keyboard-only jobs from the rebuild recovery: vault master credential, then the offline /data fsck

  • STANDBY BRIEFING — 17 Oct 2026 - what the standby Hermes on the HA box was told before the risky window

  • Agent ownership — Rootbeet & Beetroot - which scheduled job belongs to which agent, the cross-checks between them, and the no-duplicate rule

  • Rebuild runbook — joe-host (VM 101) - draft procedure for rebuilding vm-101-disk-1 from a staging copy with Beetroot as driver (never rehearsed)

  • scripts/ — the workspace tooling: wiki-graph.py, wiki-backlinks.py, wiki-lint.py

  • tennis-log/ — local-first PWA tracking the tennis season (its README.md covers running it)

  • fossil-log/ — offline-first PWA for recording fossil finds

  • finance-app/, health-app/, pulse/, v3-build/, visualizer-build/, open-terminal-compat/ — local apps and build artefacts

  • trashed/ — deleted items awaiting purge (excluded from git)

Maintaining this index

The index is not decoration — it is how the workspace stays legible. When you add a note, add it here. scripts/wiki-lint.py reports anything in a folder whose index doesn’t mention it, and any index that has gone stale.

The loop: sources arrive → compile them into the relevant synthesis note → link both ways → append a line to the folder’s log → lint.
